Sometimes the most desperate need can just be wanting to have a simple conversation with someone. Alice has had that need for some time. She is a single senior citizen, living alone, with no one to talk to. Because of a health issue, she has no way to get out and meet people.
In desperation, she started making phone calls to different agencies to see if they could make arrangements for someone to come to her home and chat with her. In her random search she happened to contact Love INC SB.
We immediately made a call to Calvary Chapel South Bay, a church near Alice’s home. Within a few days someone from Calvary visited Alice. She was so excited, of all people, a PASTOR from the church made the visit!
Here at Love INC SB we understand that needs are not always confined to material goods. That’s why we work hard to make sure every need is met with the compassion and kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ. In Alice’s case that’s all she wanted :-)
Romans 15 teaches us that those of us who are strong and able in the faith are called to step in and lend a hand ... strength is for service...so each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us and ask ourselves, “How can I help?” God often allows us to be the answer to someone else’s prayers.
